2026 Spring Season

Welcome to the 2026 Spring Season of Poway National Little League (PNLL)! We are thrilled to welcome both new and returning players alike to another great season of teamwork, skill-building and community spirit. Our league is open to all skill levels. Our coaches work to ensure all players are able to develop and improve throughout the season while also having fun with their teammates and friends.

Below you will find information about age requirements, division descriptions as well as scheduling notes:

Please note: Any child league age 7 or younger can register to play for any Little League location. Older siblings can join them as well!

Divisions are as follows:

Tee Ball: 4 - 6

Note, new this year: Participants league age 5 and 6 are permitted to advance to Minor League Coach Pitch or Machine Pitch after participating in Tee Ball for one year. Otherwise, players must play in Tee Ball.

Rookies: 5 - 8 (Coach Pitch)

MAPS : 5-10 (Machine-Assisted Pitching Division-the perfect bridge between Rookies and Minors)

Minors: 7- 12 (Player Pitch)

**If enrollment numbers allow, Minors will be split into the more traditional Minor B and Minor A age-groups while following the Little League Minors rules.

Majors: 9 - 12

Intermediate (50/70): 13 - Please understand an Intermediate team will only be fielded if we have enough players to field a team. Games may be played outside of Poway.

New this year: All players Rookies and above will be required to participate in assessments and will be placed in the most fitting division for their age and ability which may differ than what is selected upon registration. Price may be adjusted if a player shifts divisions.

Schedules:

Each team will play a minimum of 12 games. Games will be rescheduled to the best of the league's ability when necessary..

Practices will be held at Pomerado Elementary. Through February, teams will generally have a weekday practice and a Saturday practice. After Opening Ceremonies, Upper Division teams will move to one weekday game and one Saturday game with an additional weekday practice most weeks. Tee Ball, Rookies, and MAPS will generally have a weekday practice and Saturday games.

Additional Notes:

Little League is a USA Baseball program. Only bats with the "USA Baseball" stamp may be used. Travel baseball bats are not permitted in Little League. For additional Little League rules and policies, please click here.

Lastly, Little League depends heavily on parent volunteers. We cannot run a smooth season without you! We are especially in need of managers and coaches .Please consider signing up to help coach if you are able-it really makes a difference to the kids and the community.
